Influence of strong spatially varying near fault ground motion on steel box arch bridge

In violent earthquakes, ground motion is considered to change dramatically in the process of spatial propagation. Strong spatially varying exists near fault area, and it can cause large-span large stiffness structure be damaged. this paper, a typical long-span steel box arch bridge selected as an engineering case. order simulate variation accurately, records that sampled former earthquake are used input. The shaking table experiment finite element analysis means. Through internal force displacement response key position rib, found bring severe seismic response. If ignored, damage will seriously underestimated.
